    DELINEASI POTENSI MINERAL BIJIH BESI BERDASARKAN ANOMALI MEDAN MAGNETIK DI KECAMATAN LHOONG KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

    Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang delineasi potensi mineral bijih besi berdasarkan anomali medan magnetik di Kecamatan Lhoong Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Data anomali medan total didapatkan dari hasil koreksi data medan magnetik total (koreksi diurnal dan IGRF). Nilai anomali medan total digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi distribusi potensi bijih besi dengan melakukan beberapa penapisan data yaitu reduksi ke khatulistiwa (reduce to equator), kontinuasi ke atas (upward continuation), dan gradien horizontal. Kontinuasi ke atas dilakukan sebesar 70 m untuk mereduksi anomali lokal. Penapisan gradien horizontal digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi struktur geologi karena zona potensi bijih besi melibatkan proses geologi seperti sesar/patahan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai kemagnetan yang menunjukkan adanya potensi bijih besi pada lokasi penelitian yaitu dari -110.2 nT sampai -1508.4 nT. Luas area potensi bijih besi sebesar 41.8 Ha.Kata kunci: Anomali medan magnetik, intensitas kemagnetan, potensi bijih besi

    Occupational safety and health practice: a study at Infrastructure construction work

    Safety is the state of being “safe”, the condition of being protected against physical, social, spiritual, financial, political, emotional, occupational, psychological, educational or other types of consequences of failure, damage, error, accidents, harm or any other event which could be considered non-desirable. Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. In that case, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) is an act that ensure the well-being of workers in a broad scope of many specialized fields. This study is focused on the construction of a police headquarters located in Seriab, Perlis. A big number of construction companies in Malaysia might not perform safety practice for their workers, lack of safety appliances, and did not perform a regular safety check-up on their workers as the reason was they want to earn more profits and they took the safety measures of their foreign workers for granted. Note that most of construction workers in Malaysia are immigrants. The data collection was carried out through site investigation using Preliminary Hazard analysis (PHA), HIRARC form and interview session with a worker in the construction site. The objective of this study is to spread the awareness of the importance of safety among workers in the construction site based on the existing potential hazards. This report was initially to identify the hazard on the construction site and to analyse the occupational safety and health factor in the workplace. The results are to analyse and suggest recommendations for improving occupational safety and health act in the construction site. Practicing a good safety measures in the workplace will ensure the well-being of workers

The challenge in this project is dealing with the Waxy Crude itself, since it is a thixotropic NonNewtonian substance and understanding the behavior is another thing.     In today’s real world application, many researchers and developers are using Graphic Processing Unit (GPU) to accelerate non-graphical application. Modern GPUs which are massively parallel general-purpose processors has a big advantages on big data analytics in terms of power efficiency, compute density and scalability. In oil and gas industries, metocean data is being generated, collected and analyzed at an unprecedented scale. Metocean data which is observed measurements of current, wave, sea level and meterological data are regularly collected by major oil and gas companies. This data, is usually collected by specialist companies and distributed to paying parties who will deploy their scientist and engineers to analyze and forecast information based on the information. The analyses of metocean data provide crucial information needed for operation or design work that has health, safety and environment (HSE) and economic consequences. Therefore, this paper proposed GPU-accelerated web applications for metocean descriptive statistics to improve the current CPU based implementation. Metocean descriptive statistics is the analysis of metocean data that helps provide important information required for operation that has health and safety as well as economic consequences. The application will utilize GPU to perform descriptive statistics for metocean data. The implementations of GPU for metocean descriptive statistics is expected to provide a better raw performance, better cost-performance ratios, and better energy performance ratios.     This study aims to determine the efforts made by the Government of Pekanbaru in structuring the development of the home store (shop) in the city of Pekanbaru, especially in Sub Handsome. The background of this study is the proliferation of commercial buildings and as if ignoring the environmental creed particular catchment areas and green open spaces.This study used a qualitative approach in obtaining and analyzing data, for data analysis, a policy, the theory of coordination and control theory. The informant withdrawal technique performed with a purposive approach to the informant, the data in this study was obtained through interviews and observation techniques and study documentation. Descriptive data were analyzed during the study.The results of this study prove that there has been no real effort of the government in structuring the development of home stores, especially in Sub Handsome Pekanbaru. Coordination of activities undertaken by the government was limited to ensure completeness of the administrative requirements in order to obtain building permits. Supervision is done well only to observe the implementation of the technical development is in accordance with the rules of minimum distance and the construction of infiltration wells. Even then considered not maximal activity. Moreover, the absence of specific rules regarding the use of space to cause irregularities housing construction, especially in Sub Handsome store Pekanbaru.Keywords: Policy, Licensing Home Store, Coordination and Supervisio

    Study the Effect of Oxygen to Methane Ratio on the Temperature of Partial Oxidation Unit at Direct Reduction Plant by Using CFD

    Direct Reduction Plant is a plant that can produce high quality of iron product. In this plant, the very important thing is the Partial Oxidation (PO) system that allows increasing the productive rate, the quality of Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), and can save the usage of natural gas consumption. Besides, there is a transfer line with two oxygen lances is situated between the gas heater and reactor. The main objective of this study is to consider the oxygen to methane ratio supplied form the oxygen lance on the temperature profile in the combustion chamber. High temperature in the transfer line is needed in order to get high quality of iron product. In order to get the result, the simulation was performed by using Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) software that contents Fluent and Gambit. Volume meshing in GAMBIT is very important part before doing simulation in FLUENT as a solver. For further modification, only one lance of oxygen is considered in this study. Besides, the steady state condition of the partial oxidation system also included in this report. From this study, the temperature profile of Partial Oxidation system can be determined thus can give better performance for this system

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara DPRD dengan Kepala Daerah dalam mengelola sumber-sumber Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) berdasarkan UU No. 23 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pemerintahan Daerah (UU Pemerintahan Daerah). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum normatif yang biasa pula disebut dengan penelitian hukum doktrinal. Adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ialah: 1) Kepala Daerah harus melakukan pengelolaan keuangan daerah dengan baik sebagai konsekwensi dari Otonomi Daerah; 2) PAD merupakan salah satu faktor yang paling penting dalam meningkatkan kapasitas fiskal daerah; dan 3) Hubungan antara DPRD dengan Kepala Daerah merupakan kemutlakan dalam menghadirkan kebijakan daerah yang berdampak pada peningkatan PAD
